Experience
I am native to Southern California, particularly the Inland Empire. I earned my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Cell Biology. After that, I completed my Master of Bioscience degree at Keck Graduate Institute, part of the Claremont Colleges. I am currently working on my Doctor of Medicine degree. I have been tutoring for over eight years. I have had experiences tutoring students elementary-aged to college level in Math, Chemistry, Biology. I have led classes and sessions and have particularly enjoyed teaching while connecting with my students, ensuring that they succeed in their designated courses. During my sessions, I start with the concepts that the student is struggling with the most, and then I break them down into simple, basic ideas that the students can easily understand. Overall, I believe every student has a unique way of learning and I try to use that ability as a way to teach the difficult concepts. I also take a stance on following up with my students after sessions to better evaluate their progress. When I am not working, I enjoy exercising, hiking, climbing, and playing basketball.
