EducationUniversity of California-Santa Barbara - Bachelors, Chemical Engineering
ExperienceI obtained my bachelor's of science degree in Chemical Engineering through the University of California at Santa Barbara. This program is considered one of the most challenging, and competition is fierce. I learned to use a logical way of reasoning through problems, and this helped me communicate about the most difficult of concepts with my professors and fellow students. I have used my education to earn a position as a Process Engineer in a cardboard company, and I continue to work on earning my Professional Engineer License. I can tutor students in a variety of science and math related subjects, and even help them as they prepare for standardized tests like the ACT, SAT, and others. I had an experience in high school that encouraged me to become a tutor. I was paired with a middle school student who was getting C and D grades in his algebra class. I worked with him for just a few weeks before his grades turned into B and even A grades. These successes were probably as exciting for me as for that student. And it gave me a passion for tutoring that I have had ever since. In my free time, I enjoy basketball, hiking, snowboarding, and camping.
